Welcome to the Idlewylde United Methodist Church

We are glad you have decided to check us out. Here at the Idlewylde United Methodist Church, God has called us to worship, make disciples, and serve. We always welcome you to participate with us on our spirit-filled journey. 

A Little Background

We are a United Methodist congregation that has been serving the Idlewylde community of Baltimore County, and the surrounding area, for over 100 years. In that time, we have been blessed to be able to provide our congregation with Spirit led services and to participate in many outreach ministries. Our cloud of faithful witnesses, over the years, have poured their personal time, money, and effort into following the guidance of God's will for us. We say that we are a "small church with God's mighty Spirit", because we know that it has only been by the grace of God that we have been able to continue on our mission to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, through worship, outreach ministries and service.  Idlewylde United Methodist Church is a welcoming and openly caring community of believers. Though our congregation looks very different now than when we began so long ago, we still sense God's Spirit pushing us forward. 

 Additionally, through our cooperative relationship with St. John's UMC of Lutherville, we have been successful in expanding our ministry to the greater Towson area. For nearly 15 years, pastors have served both churches in tandem, promoting mutual ministry and fellowship.
